Harbor Place provides bike and jogging paths, fishing pier, marina, beachfront picnic facilities (with BBQ), and private beach.

The adventurous can drive 30 minutes to the City of Naples or 2 hours to Orlando to visit the mouse with the big ears. Only 10 minutes away is Fort Myers Beach.

Local attractions in the City of Fort Myers offer beautiful historic areas, shops, and beaches and a variety of all types of entertainment. The following are a few of the treasures the area has to offer.

Edison-Ford Winter Estates
The Edison-Ford Winter Estates offer year round guided tours through the winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. In addition to a tour of the home, the estate is offering a river cruise down the Caloosahatchee River on a replica of the "Reliance", Edison's electric launch.

Burroughs Home
The Burroughs Home is a Georgian Revival Mansion built in 1901. Located in downtown Fort Myers next to the Edison Bridge overlooking the Caloosahatchee River, considered a prestigious area at the turn of the century. A "Living History" tour is given by guides costumed in style of the WWI era. They portray members of the Burroughs family as they were when they purchased the house in 1918. The home makes a perfect setting for weddings, luncheons and special events.

Fort Myers Historical Museum
Located in the old Atlantic Coastline Railroad depot, the Fort Myers Historical Museum has exhibits covering the history of Southwest Florida. Also, on display is a private Pullman car, the ESPERANZA, and a 1900s Cracker House replica.

Eastwood Golf Course
Rated as one of the top 50 municipal courses in the country by Golf Digest, Eastwood is located off Ortiz Avenue near Colonial Blvd in Fort Myers, Florida. This challenging course is open to the public year round. Many other golf courses can be found in the area, one more beautiful than the next.

Fort Myers Yacht Basin
Located at Mile Marker 135 on the Okeechobee Waterway, Fort Myers Yacht Basin is a well designed and protected marina. It is owned and operated by the City of Fort Myers.
